Follow the instructions below to update your ScreenLogic® system
For all systems, first update the Protocol Adapter, as explained in Step 1
Once the Protocol Adpater is up to date, then perform the subsequent updates depending on the interfaces you have installed in your system
Step 1: Update your Protocol Adapter
Download the Protocol Adapter update tool
- Click Here to start the download
- If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
- When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file
Locate and select the protocol adapter in the list, then click Start
The update process will complete in a few minutes
If any errors occur during the update:
- Close the update tool
- Restart the update program
- If a second attempt to update fails, then contact Pentair Technical Support for more information
Download ScreenLogic setup for Windows XP
- Click Here to start the download
- If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
- When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
NOTE: If running ScreenLogic on a Microsoft Vista PC, install the software as instructed above. After installation, there will be a new icon shortcut called “ScreenLogic Connect” on your desktop. The first time you run this program, RIGHT click on the icon and choose “Run as Administrator”. This is only required the first time you run this application. You can subsequently start this program by double clicking on the “ScreenLogic Connect” icon.
Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file
Follow the instructions to update ScreenLogic on your PC
Download the ScreenLogic zip file for the X30
- Click Here to start the download
- If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
- When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
Extract the files (right-click the zip file, select Extract All)
Open the folder containing the two extracted files
If you see only one file, click Tools, Folder Options, View, then select Show hidden files...
Select both files, then click Edit, Copy
Connect the Axim X30 to the PC to start ActiveSync
Once ActiveSync has connected, click the Explore button (just under the menus)
In the Explorer window, double-click My Windows Mobile-Based Device, then double-click Built-in Storage
Click Edit, Paste to copy the two files to the Built-in Storage folder on the X30
Disconnect the X30
Click Start, Programs, File Explorer on the X30 to browse
Click My Device at the top, then click Built-in Storage
Click the ScreenLogic file in Built-in Storage and follow the instructions
Download the ScreenLogic installer for the X51
- Click Here to start the download
- If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
- When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
Connect the Dell Axim X51 to the PC to start ActiveSync
Once ActiveSync has connected, double-click the X51 installer
Follow the prompts, then click Unzip to start the installer
Accept the defaults and allow installation to complete
To update the In-Wall Touch Screen you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here uses a USB flash drive to transfer the files. Access to the USB port on the In-Wall Touch Screen requires temporarily removing the device from the wall, but does not require disconnecting cables.
NOTE: Some USB flash drives are not compatible with the In-Wall Touch Screen. If you have trouble, try a different USB drive.
Download the zip file containing the updates for the In-Wall Touch Screen
- Click Here to start the download
- If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
- When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
Extract the three files (right-click the zip file, select Extract All)
Copy the files from the extracted folder to the USB flash drive
If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close
Carefullly remove the bezel from the front, then remove the four screws that hold the device to the back-box
Pull the device out to access the USB port (next to the network cable)
Plug the USB flash drive into one of the USB ports
Double-click My Computer: if the USB drive is supported, you will see a Hard Disk folder
Double-click the Hard Disk folder to access the files on the USB drive
Select all three files, and then click Edit, Copy
Browse back to the FlashStorage2 folder, then click Edit, Paste
Once the files have been copied close File Explorer
Remove the USB drive and replace the In-Wall Touch Screen
To update the Wireless Tablet you must update three files stored on the device. The recommended method described here uses a USB flash drive to transfer the files.
NOTE: Some USB flash drives are not compatible with the Wireless Tablet. If you have trouble, try a different USB drive.
Download the appropriate zip file containing the updates for your Wireless Tablet
- Click Here to download files for the DT375 (8.4" green LEDs) and the Kube (10")
- Click Here to download files for the DT360 and DT366 (8.4" blue LEDs)
- If your browser shows an information bar, click and then select "Download file"
- When prompted, click Desktop to save the file on your desktop
Extract the three files (right-click the zip file, select Extract All)
Copy the files from the extracted folder to the USB flash drive
If ScreenLogic is running on the device, bring up the keyboard and type CTRL-Q to close
Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the tablet
Double-click My Computer: if the USB drive is supported, you will see a Hard Disk folder
Double-click the Hard Disk folder to access the files on the USB drive
Select all three files, and then click Edit, Copy
Browse back to the FlashStorage2 (DT366), the Internal Storage (DT375) or the IPSM (Kube) folder, and then click Edit, Paste
Once the files have been copied close File Explorer
